Coolant Coalescer 20.0

How it WorksThe first thing the Coalescer does is remove tramp oil. By removing the tramp oil, you are reducing the possibility of sealing off the sump. When tramp oils seal the surface of your coolant tank, anaerobic bacteria will form which can lower the pH of your coolant and cause bad odours. Secondly, the coolant is passed through two filters; a primary and a secondary filter, which remove particles and dirt from the fluids. Both filters are monitored by guages. When these guages reach between 25-30, the filter should be cleaned or replaced. In the lower portion of the holding tank, there are hundreds of plastic perforated cylinders that the fluids must pass through. The solid tramp oils will surface immediately, but the oils that are suspended in the fluids will attach themselves to a solid such as the plastic cylinders. When enough oil particles form to make a droplet, they will rise to the surface. The air pressure is monitored on the operating guage located beside the filter guages. The pump is adjustable, but will operate efficiently at 30 PSI. To keep machines clean, the coalescer should be used every other week.It may be necessary to use it more often depending on the amount of lube oil on you machines. |
